What you'll do

As a member of Viasat's fast-paced Test Engineering Team, you will work with the test team to work closely with the product design team to interpret module requirements and turn them into corresponding Qualification and Certification Test Scripts.
The day-to-day

• Day to day effort includes reading and reviewing top level requirements to ensure they are concise, testable, and realistic.
• Generating automated test procedures to demonstrate compliance to these requirements.
• Using python to automate both the execution of tests as well as the test procedure and test report documentation.
• Collaboration with product design engineers (HW, SW, FPGA Logic, & Systems).
• Flexible and open environment that encourages you to craft and run your own test scripts and test ideas.
  What you'll need
  
  
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related subject area
  • 3+ years experience with networking (TCP, UDP, Multicast, etc.) and network devices.
  • Proof of United States Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance.

    • Knowledge and experience with a programming or scripting language preferably Python or other Object Oriented language. (i.e. C/C++, Python, Perl, or other)
    • Familiarity with Linux / Ubunto operating systems
    • Excellent communication skills

      Salary range
      
      $116,500.00 - $202,500.00 / annually
