As a Sustaining Engineering Manager, you will lead a team focused on maintaining and enhancing existing products in the connector industry. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure product quality, reliability, and performance. • Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Collaborate with quality assurance and manufacturing teams to address and resolve product-related issues.
• Design Modifications: Create and implement design changes aimed at enhancing product reliability and overall performance.
• Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive documentation of design alterations, testing outcomes, and product performance metrics.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Partner with R&D, quality assurance, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to facilitate effective product updates and enhancements.
• Customer Engagement: Respond to customer inquiries and technical challenges, delivering prompt and effective solutions.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products adhere to industry standards and regulatory guidelines.ProfileIdeal Candidate:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5-7 years in product sustaining engineering, ideally within the connector industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Creo software, with a solid understanding of connector design and manufacturing processes, as well as familiarity with industry standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team Collaboration: Proven ability to thrive in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Additional Expertise: Experience with FMEA, GD&T, and RCCA, as well as working with tight-tolerance injection molded products.
