We are a first-class, leading Periodontal surgery office looking to add an outgoing individual who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care on a part-time basis (2-3 days) in our Swampscott location. This is an hourly (non-production based) position.The Hygienist's primary role is to support the Periodontist by providing exceptional patient care that results in optimal clinical outcomes and exceeds our patients' expectations. Hygienists at our practice focus on all aspects of patient care, provide direct care to their patients and, if interested, get the opportunity to assist in surgical care.We are looking for a fun, hardworking team player to enhance the growth of our practice while continuing to fulfill patient's oral healthcare needs. Role and ResponsibilitiesDeliver compassionate care that exceeds patient's expectationsReview patient medical history and accurately assess patient oral health conditionAcquire dental imaging, including radiographs, CBCTs and 2D photographsAssemble materials and equipment in preparation for treatment and maintain adequate suppliesPerform typical pre-operative and post-operative duties to facilitate patient care, including set-up and breakdown of treatment room in accordance with infection control protocols to maintain a clean and sterile work environmentPerform typical dental hygiene procedures to facilitate patient care, including teeth cleaning, scaling, polishing and periodontal chartingEducate patients on proper oral care techniques and preventative measuresPrepare, administer, and record medications/anesthetic in accordance with all applicable regulationsMonitor and maintains aseptic technique throughout proceduresOperate sterilization equipmentMaintain accurate patient records as required, maintaining confidentiality of all information in compliance with HIPAAOther duties as assignedSkills and AbilitiesPassionate about caring for peopleSuperior active listening and communication aptitudeAppreciates different perspectives and opinionsRecognizes others' feelings and responds supportivelyTeam-oriented and solution-driven mindsetSolid organizational strategy that highlights strong attention to detail and critical thinkingQualificationsActive Massachusetts Dental Hygienist License, requiredActive Massachusetts Dental Hygienist Anesthesia Permit (L), strongly preferredActive BLS Certification, preferred PI0ec63f04edc1-25660-34864878
