Job Description:

Clean Harbors is looking for a Purchasing Associate to sit in Norwell, MA. The Purchasing performs a variety of administrative, system maintenance, field interface, and purchasing duties. Maintains the purchasing item master databases and participates in the procurement of supplies, vendor relations, program management, and user training.

  Responsibilities
  
  
  • Drive cost savings initiatives to help reduce maintenance costs
  • Review and analyze quotes to ensure pricing is advantageous.
  • Coordinate, manage, and build vendor relationships.
  • Assist with procurement projects and daily parts sourcing.
  • Analyze spend reports to identify treads, price increase, and saving opportunities.
  • Coordinate daily with maintenance planners, inventory coordinators, and director of procurement.
  • Other Duties as Assigned
    
    Qualifications
    
    
    • 2 years college or specialized training
    • 3 to 5 years' experience
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines.
    • Strong negotiation skills: ability to drive decision-making
